Desktop: Understanding Asset Types And Their Location In A Session

 

Assets are the content you will use in your session. Listed below are the different asset types and file types per asset as shown on the “Add New Asset” page, along with the corresponding location within a Jigsaw session. When adding any new asset to a session, the file is also automatically added to the company's Asset Library for future use. Max file size is 2 GB.


Attachments

Attachment Assets are uploaded to the “Attachment” area of the session. Files uploaded as this type are not converted for use in Panes 1 – 4. So, if you intend on using a file in Panes 1 – 4, upload the file as one of the other asset types.

When the Presenter releases a document asset, all session attendees will see My Documents available in Pane 4's menu.

Each attendee is able to independently open the document and view it in this area.

Presentation

When the Presenter releases a presentation asset, all session attendees will see My Presentations available in Pane 4's menu.

Survey 

 

When a Survey asset is added to a session, it is available in pane 3 to the Host and/or current Presenter.

When the Host and/or current Presenter releases a survey, then all session attendees will see Surveys available in Pane 3's menu.

Video 

 Videos are automatically added to pane 1 and 4.

The Host and/or current Presenter can release videos from pane 4.

When videos have been released, all session attendees will see My Videos in pane 4. Simply click the video to play it.

Then use the controls to stop, pause, fast forward or adjust volume.

Web Link 

 

 

Web Link asset is a URL address. When added to the session, only the Host and/or current Presenter sees My Web Links.

When the Host and/or current Presenter releases web links, then My Web Links is seen by all session attendees in pane 4.
